Hi, I've had bv since February and I don't know how to get rid of it! When I went to a gyno, they said i had chlamydia. Is it possible that the bv gave me a false positive? My partner also had gotten tested and his results were negative. We have been having unprotected sex so if I had it, he would've had it as well. Anyway, I inserted vitamin c tablets vaginally and now I've been getting this discharge that looks like there may be some bleeding as well. Though, the vitamin C was an improvement. It stopped the itching and the odor. Also, it's a much less discharge than before. But is it safe to continue inserting to tablets if I'm having vaginal bleeding from it?

Hello Shad, I wouldn't insert the tablets if they're causing you to bleed. However tea tree suppositries have always helped me! I'm 22 and suffered from bv for the last 2 and a half years, on and off, wasting so much money on things that only lasted a few days. As soon as I slept with my parter unprotected, I'd ALWAYS get it back.. We've both been twice in the last 2 years to get checked and there's nothing wrong.. But long story short, I've finally got rid of it. I've not had it for 3 weeks now and I know that it's gone.. Before I would get it straight after sleeping with my partner.
I went to the docs and told them that I know it's something to do with my parter (however much they like to say it's not transmitted- it can be!!!!!) I've gone to the docs so many times, even to a hospital to see a gynacogist-useless- she clearly never had it and didn't know what she was talking about. Anyway, finally 1 Dr. prescribed me metronidazole, but a lot because she knew I had all intention of giving this to my partner too this time...Which I did.. He took 6 tablets spaced out throughout the day, I took 5 in one day and it's gone!! I've checked everyday, slept with him unprotected and it's finally gone. If you have a partner and it's coming back everytime you sleep with him, common sense tells you it's him. Please try this out because it's the only thing that's worked for me. I had to share it. (Am in the UK)
Good luck
