Hello,
This is my second go Round on citolapram. It worked well enough for me to get off. However, I needed to get back on. I've been on it since the beginning of June. My insomnia is out of control. No problem falling asleep on the couch at 9:30-10. Then I go to bed, take .5 mg of ambien then I'm only asleep till about 5am I want sleep but can't stay asleep. I don't remember this being this bad last time. Especially after a month. Does this wear away. Should I switch meds?
Hi Brian, it should wear off hopefully soon. Your not doing too bad if your managing to get to sleep at around 10pm and waking up at 5pm that's a decent 7 hours, insomnia is when you literally cannot sleep.
Suggest you go to bed at 9.30pm take your ambien and see how you get on.
Aspinan,
Thank you for the quick reply. I'm hoping it goes away soon. Today I was up at 4:30. Just laying around tossing and turning till 7:30 when I have to wake up for work. But I really don't remember being this bad.
Hi Brian
This is my second time around on Cit
Am sixmonths in
I was reluctant to restart
A because one feels a failure that I need it!
B ur so bad u can't see u need it
C it was. Awful the first time starting
But yes I was much worse settling into it this time round
The insomnia and lying awake rain turning over was awful but I just tried to go with it knowing it would pass. I hoped!
It did đ
But yes if ur getting 7 hrs that's not bad
I felt one week I had t slept at all
I bought lavender spray. Rescue night remedy ...
It will pass
Maybe you should try going to bed later and don't fall asleep on the sofa so I get a concentrated sleep
This time round I take my Cit about 630 when the light wakes me but I do meditative deep breathing which focuses mind and body to return to sleep
Takes practise
You will get there...đ
