Hello Fellow fighters and forum followers,
I just wanted to express a few words of support, now I aint no expert but one thing that always pulled me out of the darkness was re-assurance from others especially those whom had been thru depression/anxiety which are few and far between really. Hands up who has heard from friends or family the common answers like ‘you’ll be right mate’ or ‘just cheer up’ arrgh!!! They are so clueless huh!!!
No one gets it other than us who are fighting it, which brings me to this book I started reading in the store “yeah cheapo standing there reading at the book stand”…. the book that I was hooked on is John Kirwan’s ‘Allblacks don’t cry’ normally I wouldn’t read a book such as that but for those whom may not know he was an Allblack rugby player 25 years ago or something I don’t know much about Rugby being from Kirkland Seattle its not your usual auto bio as he battled immerse Depression and Anxiety and has some very powerful strategies and inspiration shared in the book. I read three pages before I started getting weird looks and wow awesome!!!! So if you looking for some direction and help this is a great option. Take care ya’all!
Stevo.
