I am a little unusual with food, I have gone with what keeps my symptoms minimal and that turns out to be currently chicken and rice, cooked veg or very limited raw ( to much raw causes IBS) I also am able to eat roast lamb but NOT lamb sausages or the fat of it. I can also tolerate coconut yogurt with no more than 5 almonds and blueberries linmited seeds, very dark chocolate, although too much causes rib pain and corn chips help me keep weight on. I can even tolerate 2 pork sausages a few times a week with minimal discomfort, however we buy all meat from an organic butchers so they are home made with little fat content, made from the best pieces of meat. thats about it.
NO wheat, gluten, dairy, red meat, other nuts, milk chocolate, raw veg, most fruits, lamb sausages, oils and other coconut products as all these cause pain, discomfort or reflux. The foods I do eat sometimes cause mild issues though, but I have to eat something!
I do take bile salts and digestive enzymes which have helped a great deal.
I also take sauerkraut, coconut kefir and probiotics daily as well as bee pollen and liver herbs from the naturopath.
I have been stable for quite a few weeks now, had gone worse in jan but stabalised again in the last month or so, but the last day or so I have had rib ache, but I have overindulged on chocolate from easter as my mum sent Uk chocolate over and its so much nicer then Aussie chocolate, even though I know milk is bad for me, i couldnt resist and having mild issues with my rib discomfort right now.
I have found from lots of research and reading about peoples experiences that trigger foods can be very different, so its a matter of finding what works for you, unfortunately my calories have dropped hence the weight loss, blaoting can be awful, but the enzyme and ox bile has made a big difference with the amount of bloating.
I was paleo 90% of the time and very healthy before, but I have genetic links to gallstones on mums side at a young age as well as 4 pregnancies where I gained a lot of weight then dropped it all afterwards as well as a health issue 5 yrs ago which saw me drop a whole heap of weight, so lots of things could of triggered mine but the higher healthy fats of paleo may have caused the scale to tip and trigger the symptoms?
