internal body vibrations / body buzzing

For 3 months I have been experiencing some type of body vibrations and feels like my body is buzzing ,  like I have tens units all over me. HAS ANYONE EVER HAD THIS OR HEARD OF THIS. I AM SUFFERING.  PLEASE RESPOND.  THANKS

Hi Kori

Yes I have had this feeling. It's like your body is full of buzzing bees. It's another symptom of anxiety. It's just nervous energy buzzing around created by adrenalin. It can't do you any harm, it just feels very uncomfortable. It is just nervous arousal. Maybe do some exercise or go for a walk. This can sometimes use up a bit of the excess energy. Try not to be frightened of it. Easy to say, I know, and I can't say that i manage it any better but the professional advice I have always been given about anxiety is:

1. You wont die from it (or in fact come to any harm from it, it is, after all, your own defence mechanism at work, flight or fight)

2. You are not going mad (although it can feel like it)

3. Dont try to avoid or run away from it (this tends to make it worse)

4. Try to accept and even befriend it (to relax with your anxiety, just let it happen without trying to fix it, make it better, or change it. Just accept what you are feeling).

5. Be kind and compassionate to yourself. You are going through a hard process.

This is how I try to work with it, along with meds, some times more successfully than others.

Hope this helps

Yes i get those. Anxiety does that. Wow i mentioned that to my rhematoid doctor too. He said keeo hydrated and be sure you sleep well. Not so easy with anxiety. But i started doing magnessium salts (not salt by the way it is magnessium)foot soaks for a half an hour makes me sleepy and the magnessium is great for these. Just twice a week.

ARe you getting off of Effexor? When I miss doses of my Effexor yes I get these zapping noises in my head that feel horrible. Other than that no.

Not on effexor but I am on 75 mg zoloft
