Internal hemmorhoids ?

So - been to the GP today as had fresh blood from backside now for about 3 days with no pain.

She had a good feel around (much to my dismay!) she said no fissures but that I could 'possibly' have an internal hemmorhoid as she felt something 'squishy' but to be honest... She didn't sound very confident!

She's given me some hydrocortisone suppositories (lovely) and said she hopes the problem will disappear as quickly as it came about.

Other than the fresh blood I have no problems whatsoever and no other symptoms.

Sound familiar to anybody here?

Also, she mentioned a camera up the bum if it doesn't resolve or gets worse. Help me god!!!

Would just like to add - I'm in my 20s and have never had children

There's plenty of time to find out if anything else is going on. Suppositories will prob sort you out. Don't forget to use them!

Yes it does sound familiar,  I had my op last October, was painfull like everybody said it would, but after I got another skin tag which goes rock hard every time I go bm i also  split and have load of blood.  I have had the camera and they said everything was OK.  I have trouble going to the loo without using laxative ( dolcolax).  I go back to see the doctor in July hoping he will take the skin tag of and sort out why i keep splitting every time,  hope, you get sorted to.

Hi Dee , maybe not so much to worry about if its just a little blood with no discomfort . As always with this kinda thing , watch your diet for a few weeks and give whatever is bleeding , a chance to heal . You might be lucky and get away with it , without needing any procedures . Good luck Dee .

Thanks so much to you all for replying so quickly - been worrying myself a bit!

hi ou are only very young  i doubt theres much to worry about .ive got to have a thing up my bum tueday im bricking it but im alot older than you.ive had piles for years but they have bleed for the last 4 yrs nothing else but am going to check things out at gps suggestion.as could be a higher up pile.ive heard the tube hurts but will see how i go.good luck to you dont worry you be fine using your meds off the gp.

Hi. I also experience similar, I had also external and internal one which hurts so much back then in 2014 and treated by my surgeon which start to alarm me so much. This monday after 2 years, I got a bleeding back and a slight hurt feeling, I can feel small lump. I went to dr immidietely. When does the bleed usually fade away ? Is it normal to have it for several days? Yesterday it was absent, but this evening I got a slight fresh blood back again on my bowel. I am so anxious. I tried anal suppository, cream, and oral medication (I bought it tonight).

Hello Siraf , sorry to hear of your trroubles. If its any consolation , I bled for years , and it was only a small inconvenience . When I went to the toilet I could sometimes lose over a cup of blood . As long as you get yourself checked out to make sure that nothing else is going on in there , then you should be ok . Some people can have spots of blood all the time . I think after two years of being ok , you may have done something to trigger this again . have you changed diet , ate anything out of the ordinary , got a bit constipated and strained at the toilet etc ?

Hi sorebutt.

Thank you for your feedback it really reassuring.

I had a constipation last week. I noticed that it start to feel hurt somehow after constipation before it finally bleed. Actually, due the hemorrhoid 2 years ago, I develop an huge and chronic anxiety toward it and went from dr to dr.

I know I have been paid less attention to my diet since a month ago. My usual fiber supplement was run out. I've been used the same brand for one year. I hope this episode can get better soon.

Hi dee71386. I think that is just normal as it bleeds bcoz of the seizure. I had bleeding too just days ago. At first, i did not notice. And thought it was just my poo. But then the next time i had BM, there is drip again after. So i look at it in the light, and saw that it was not a wet poo but blood. But it does not hurt.

I got scared and googled what it could be and what i could do. And i found out about hemorrhoids and anal seizures and colon cancer.

I was reallly scared and disappointed bcoz i dont drink nor smoke. i just started working and i thought, all my pays would only get to operations and medicines. Or worse could not continue working anymore.

But thank God for this forum, i learned i am not alone in this situation. And it is not a rare case. And could not be really serious.

I did not resort to check up or doctor at once. Bcoz i have read one comment that it would go away in few days. Only needed to eat more fiber and water.

I did that. No meat in my food list. Water therapy. Do not force too much in BM. And after two days no more blood after poo.

I am relieved. Thank God. Just pray and dont think too much about it.

Hi Siraf , been a couple of months now since you posted , and I thought just to ask how you are getting on with bleeding . I hope it has all went back to normal with no bleeding now . It sounded like just an episode of straining and a diet needing changed .

Hi Dee , hope all going well now , and hopefully you have not needed to have any procedures. I know you were worried at the time , and so thought to find out if all ok now .

Hi,

Yes thanks, fingers crossed all been ok. I had a couple more episodes of random bleeding recently after original event but nothing since so just leaving it for now X

Hi. Thanks for your concern.

After posting this thread I still had a bleeding several times aftrer days or weeks absent. I noticed it after straining or if I had a big stool and it started to hurt and I the bumps prolapse again.

Honestly, this is quite stressful so I tried not to see everything on while doing BM. I am a very anxious person. However I feel lot better after avoid any straining activity. As you said the key is diet change. I ate banana 3 times a day also drink ton of water to avoid constipation. Now my concern is to avoid those sitiation.

I currently away from my own country for my study, and here it is quite difficult to have a more serious dr examination due language barrier, so I am planning to have a more serious check up if it become worse once I get back to my country this december.

Good luck with that Siraf . Hope all goes well .

glad to hear that . good luck x

Thanks sorebutt.

Glad to find this forum.
