does anyone have experience with intestinal metaplasia and gastritis? i was diagnosed with mild gastritis over a year ago and then intestinal metaplasia like a month ago. Research shows its precancerous but other websites says theres only a small risk and a lot of people with this condition dont. get worse so im confused…the gi doc said nothing about this condition, he just said the endoscopy found mild inflammation…if someone has a precancerous condition shouldnt it be taken seriously?? The doc just prescribed omeprazole…what else can be done?? I read that having IM and chrinic gastritis has poor outcomes and that its highly associated with h pylori but i never had h pylori ive been tested many times
I was told by gastroenterologist that I have gastritis of the duodenum and something else, can’t remember unless I look at my letter lol but all he said to me was go wheat/gluten free. discharged me. didnt seem interested. I have been tested for pylori aswell. clear. my stomach hasn’t decreased in size. I am very self conscious of it and lost my confidence. can’t wear what I used to wear anymore. I look pregnant.

Sometimes worry can reduce our immune system.
Myself I have IBS and GERD and have had antibiotics before an Endoscopy for smotach reduction. What causes the most symtoms and pain for me is worry. Well exaggerates my pain and painful unpleasant symptoms.
Do you think this may be making your symptoms worse?
With regards to cancer prevention I know many who use antioxidant supplements. I’ve used R-ala in the past. In fact I’m about to restart 600mg per day next week.
i have some weird gastritis but the GI put that there when i told him i have bad gas lol! now my stomach is sending pulses to make me muscle cramp and veins hurt everywhere, clogging entire mid section body, no gas/stool/urine/blood get through???
