Has anyone tried Intrarosa for Vaginal Atrophy? If so any luck?

Yes, along with estrace on the outside.

First I've heard of it. Do you know why the doctor would prescribe it (a steroid) rather than a hormone cream? Have you had a negative reaction to estrogen?

I have been using an external steroid triamcinolone acetonide ointment for LS and estradiol cream for AV for about a month. Had used nothing prior to this. Was prescribed premarin 3 years ago but did not use it because I was having no obvious discomfort and did not want to take a chance using hormones. My sister had stage 4 estrogen dependent breast cancer at that time which eventually took her life. It seems to avoid a life of torture hormones are the only answer.
