Involuntary muscle movements, anxiety? Help!

Hey everyone

I'm new to this group, and hope you can give me some answers.

I been stressed for the past couple of years, mostly emotional. But I'm also a med student, so I keep my mind busy every day.

I'm experiencing involuntary muscle contractions, most often in my legs and buttocks. Also, I've had pind and needles everywhere for the past maybe 3 weeks, but that seems to settle.

I'm really worried that it's something neurological. The contractions in my legs occur all day long, and intensity varies. IT comes in single contractions that's disappears right after.

No pain, or.. Some times a little muscle ache, but it vanishes quickly.

Please tell me, og this could bedste due to stress, worries and anxiety.

Muscle spasms can be from stress and a lot of people get them. I do and they calm then come back. Try some magnesium that can help

Hi, i'm also have that. Mine is more like vibrating. My hands keep vibrating all day long. I think not having healthy diet and anxiety can cause this. My Dr gv me propanolol as my ecg and thyroid test are normal although i didn't check to neurological specialist.

Muscle twitches are very common with anxiety and stress.  I have had them on and off for over 30 years and they come when I am stressed.  They are harmless.  The ones I have are called benign fasciculations.  Pins and needles are also common with anxiety and I have had those many times along with numerous other symptoms related to anxiety.

Is school causing you anxiety and stress?

But since these are new symptoms, get yourself checked out by your doctor for peace of mind.

Try to relax your mind by doing things that make you feel happy.

Take care
