Irritated Glans and Burning Penis

Hi, so i’ve had this irritation on my penis head for the last while where the glans becomes red and wrinkled/flaky (especially after masturbation). Does anyone have any idea what this could be? It isn’t an std either as i haven’t been sexually active.

visit your doctor it could be a bacerial or fungal skin infection

Hey buddy,
I’ve been suffering from a similar problem.
I’ve been tested for STI/STDs but everything has come back negative.
I’ve tried multiple antifungal creams which haven’t worked.
Ive tried a 2 week course of Doxycycline which also didn’t work.
After my last visit the Dr simply told me it’s nothing to worry about, apply some general moisturizer to the area. So for the past few days I’ve been applying an E45 cream, still not sure if it’s actually doing anything but I’ll keep you updated if I see any results.
In your instance, it’s probably best to get an opinion from a medical professional, although, i suspect in the first instance they’ll give you an antifungal cream and send you on your way. Hopefully, that’ll be enough to fix your issue but keep us posted.

Daniel, I have given you a detailed response to this before, the problem is due to what you are applying to your penis and the things that it is in contact with. The only way you will resolve this is to return your penile skin to its natural state …

I don’t apply anything to it and just wash with water

Ok cool thanks man will do. Seeing a urologist soon so hopefully i can just sort this out.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you buddy.
Let me know what the urologist says, I’m still waiting to be referred.
Alternatively, a dermatologist may also be able to help you out if it is indeed a skin condition

Thanks for the information and update. As Kim suggests you may be in a situation where you constantly have a reoccurring fungal or bacterial infection. The risk of this is all the greater if you are having unprotected penetrative sex.
If this is the situation where you are getting reoccurring infections you would need to get that fully sorted first - certainly masturbation will not be helping the skin, and if there is an infection present, this will be compounding the situation for the skin on the head and foreskin of your penis. Masturbation causes a great deal of friction and in your current circumstances this is proving to be too much for the skin to deal with.
Just to reiterate, when the skin on the head and/or foreskin of the penis has been unable to deal with constant exposure of chemicals applied to it this can take an extended period of months to achieve a much healthier looking state. In my experience this can take upwards of 3 months, and in cases where exposure to harmful chemicals has existed for a period of years change can take 5 or 6 months plus to show discernible change.

usually when someone has a reoccurring fungal infection its because it hasnt been treated properly the first time round it defo sounds like the problem is with the skin especially if u are just using water to clean with and eliminating all other possibilities

u should not masturbate at all until the problem has been resolved u will just worsen and further irritate the skin thus never getting better

Hey Daniel:
It looks a lot like friction / irritation. Are you using lubricants when you masturbate? It could be that. It could also be a recurring fungal or bacterial issue. You should probably hold off on masturbating until it clears up, that is just going to further irritate it. And check with your
doctor.
