I’m going to Costco today to get some stuff for my gastritis. My main symptom is a bloated feeling sternum area and a light feeling of a band around my chest. It makes it hard to breathe 24/7 since I’ve got it last Monday. Since then I have quit all caffeine and fast food. I’ve been having broth and toast and some rice since then. Would getting meal replacement shakes from Costco and just drinking those for a while be a good idea? They come in a 32 pack so I can have 4 per day for 8 days. If not, what type of liquid diet should I do? I really think it will speed up the healing process. Also, will nexium work 30 minutes to 1 hour before liquid?
Or, what 2 or 3 foods do you recommend I eat for the next few weeks that will be easiest on the stomach? thanks guys.
I have these same symptoms. Some discomfort in my upper abdomen which feels like pressure/tightness or bloating in the upper abdomen. Also, bloating after meals in the lower abdomen. These are my only symptoms. My doctor is leaning towards gastritis. Does this sound similar?
