Is anxiety effecting sleep pattern?

I'm just wondering I've woke up at 5-5:30 everyday for near enough a week now and is bugging me

Yes it does-- it can give you insomnia, make you sleep too much, or wake you up early. These are all symptoms of anxiety.

Its stress and anxiety taking its toll on your body.  I had it where i couldn't fall asleep but nw has changed to early waking.  At one point i couldn't sleep at all so i don't mind this so much.  Try some relaxation excercises to calm your tense body down. xx

Tanya I'm sorry to hear that you are having sleeping problems as I know only too well what a disruptive effect the lack of sleep can have on ones life.

Whilst anxiety can definitely be a contributor towards sleeping problems, there are also many other reasons why a person cannot sleep through the whole night.

For example in my case  I have not had a complete nights sleep in over two years, but I know what the likely reason for this is - I am a Diabetic with Peripheral Neuropathy, and the neuropathy unfortunately attacks all my nerve endings late at night or early in the morning, usually when I am least expecting it.

I do not think for one moment that you have the same problem as me, but equally it is impossible to guess what the real cause of your problem is.

Under the circumstances I would suggest that you seek medical advice for your problem, because what you do not need is for it to become a permanent issue in your life.

Thankyou, it's just annoying because I try to get in bed for around 11 and sleep for about 11:30-7 so I have enough sleep for school but I keep waking up so early and it's making me knackered throughout the day and making me feel really weird and detatched from myself sorta x
