Hello! I hope I am posting this to the correct discussion area! I am as yet undiagnosed but have had lots of tests and am waiting to find out if I have CFS or something similar. Anyway...I have terrible burning pain in my right knee joint. Worse when cold and in active (ie at night). I am only 34. I wasn't expecting to fall apart quite so soon.
Can anyone offer some advice/ hope?
Thank you! X
There are various kinds of pain often associated with ME/CFS. There's muscle pain and joint pain. There's also nerve pain, like burning, tingling, and shooting pains. So maybe you have the joint or nerve pain that can come with the illness. You mention in your post that you've had tests and are waiting to find out if you have CFS or something similar. I just want to make sure you know that there are no tests for CFS because there are no biomarkers for the illness. It's a diagnosis of exclusion. Maybe this is what you meant.
I have artiritis and cfs / fibro and depression
Neither was I expecting to fall apart two years ago was a completely different person.... who I desperately want back x
Hi,
everybody is different and the CFS effects the body in so many ways.
Inactivity can cause your body to flare up a joint that is prone to Arthritis and with CFS the chances are you end up being inactive... so the two can be seen as being linked in that way.
You could try cutting out certain veg from the nightshade family and see if that helps you.
I have OA and ME and if I get a flair up of OA I know I will have to struggle to overcome the fatigue brought on from the exercises I have to do to ease the OA. However, gradually you can manage both conditions to some degree.
Thank you for your reply 😊
Thank you for your reply. I am so sorry to hear you suffer with depression. I do too and am on medication for that. I think there is also a link between CFS and depression isn't there? It's the chicken and the egg thing though isn't it?! Which came first! X
Thanks for your reply Jackie. X
