hello! recent tests have shown my pancreas is essentially gone and i have pancreatic insufficiency. im still worried as hell that its cancer, how common is it for cancer to cause EPI? also i am on creon tablets now with every snack or meal and it doesnt seem to be making any difference!
What tests did you get? EPI sometimes is caused by several other conditions, are you diabetic? Pancreatitis being one of the most common one. Dont worry yourself with the C word. It is the first thing that strikes our minds when it comes to health issues.
fecal elactase test - normal reading is 500 and mine is 21.
i am not a diabetic as i know of but since that test, i have had a blood test to see if i am. results not in yet.
just very worrying, im only 30.

have you developed any jaundice? I am asking because my aunt has pancreas issues and has developed jaundice. she's worried about the C word as well . she's scheduled for further tests .
