Hi everyone, every now and then when I swallow something, in particular drier food such as bread I will sort of feel it down my esophagus and sometimes there can be a little ache in my back when I swallow. I have done a gastroscopy before which was unremarkable, and not even signs of damage by acid reflux although I feel the acidic taste in my mouth after food. I am more concerned of an esophageal motility disorder such as achalasia. Is it normal to feel the food down the esophagus sometimes? Its not really painful but just uncomfortable and makes me anxious. Usually if I chew the food very thoroughly that feeling will not be noticeable. I can induce a swallowing movement unlike the kind of dysphagia where food gets lodged in the throat itself. Thank you for your help.
