Is it Anxiety or an actual problem?

For a few weeks now I've been dealing with abdominal pain on my right side.....  I've had the following test;

CT Scan-Normal

X-ray-Normal

Blood work (6times)-All normal but one liver function of ALT was SLIGHTLY elevated but improving and only getting better.

ULTRASOUND-Found gallstones but all else was normal (I freaked and even had my gallbladder removed a week later...... this ended up not being my pain)

A little Nausea

Dizzyness

I am now fixated on the pain and have diagnosed myself with Liver Disease ** because of that one ALT number

Fibromyalgia & shingles.....

I have crazy OCD over this and have been dealing with it for awhile now! I suffer from severe health anxiety and am worried this is causing me to think I'm physically ill? Help!

I also just had my daughter two months ago and have postpartum anxiety...... it's been hell

Hi. I'm sorry you are feeling so unwell. Anxiety is awful. It controls our lives and emotions. I have had anxiety for many years. I'm working through my latest one now. I suffer with IBS so if I feel anxious it makes that bad which makes me more anxious. Also if my stomach is bad I panic and become anxious. Have you spoken to a Dr about the Anxiety?? There are a lot of different things that can help. I'm taking a anti depressant. I also strongly believe that therapy and counselling will be the best and most effective course of action. At the end of the day there is no cure for anxiety other than us learning to accept it and how to live and cope with it. Meds will.help a lot but we will.have things in life that will cause a blip. We are generally more nervous anxious people so we react to things differently. Learning how our mind works will help.us to cope with them. I had a short panic and anxiety attack this morning. I was able to let it just happen knowing it will.pass and I will be ok. I am lucky as I can stay home today and not worry about going to work or going out. Find things that distract you and make you feel comfortable. Health anxiety is very common so know you are not alone. Talk to us on here. It can and will get better and you will be stronger. Remember you have been feeling unwell.and just had a baby. Your body has been through a lot recently. Take care

Understand all of this.  I ended up with gb taken out and felt still nausea, acid and diarrh after op. It solved nothing and i am always looking for the reason this has happened.

Symptoms before, and symptoms after.

dr says anti deps but i am having dfficulty taking them, awful side effects. Be very careful they dont try to get you on that line, its hard to get off.

sounds like you have now got health anxiety, maybe counselling will be a good try
