is it IBS or..?

info:19 years old male

it's been a year now, a very hard year! I remember the first day when I noticed the toilet filled with blood. I was shocked. Googled my symptoms which were bloating, constipation and bloody stool and came across colon cancer. 2 weeks later I visitd the gastro and after I insisted on him to do the colonscopy he accepted but he was not taking me seriously, results came in clear but it was not a complete colonscopy, months would pass but I still suffer from constipation alternating loose stool etc, and bloody stool from time to time and even some looke like dark red ones. So I had to do a full colonoscopy again convinced my doctor we had to do it and again results came clear apart a small proctitis. I was releived for a few weeks but now again I don't know what to do, I still notice some dark red blood from time to time (Forgot to say that my doctors attributed the bleeding to hemerhoids because bleeding is never an IBS symptom) and now often I released that my stool comes always with a dark brown line so I fear it could be blood from the small intestine like "middle GI bleeding". Do you think I need to even investigate more and ask for a capsule endoscopy or double ballon entroscopy because my doctors are not taking me seriously anymore. I'm always stressed they might miss something and do't know what to do anymore...

Could have IBD it's worse then IBS I suffer from that and your symptoms is how mine started out. Insist on them checking you for Crohn's or colitis at times it's misdiagnosed because it causes bloody dirreah and bad cramping but like I had said mine started out just like your symptoms. Good luck hope all goes well

Do you take probiotics or eat fermented foods, if I could suggest you check out these type of things and if you think they might help your condition. diet could be a factor.

Thank you for your reply, I will be going to my doctor next week (got an appointment) i will dicuss with him about ibd, but according to the colonoscopy my colon is clean apart a small proctitis. I also forgot to mention that I did an abdominal CT and blood test which showed nothing too but all my focus is shifted to my small bowel or intestine, I really fear that cancer might be there .. Will keep u updated!

Hey martin, thank you for your reply, I think I will start taking probiotics and see if it helps. Currently I feel that my stomach is overreacting to whatever I eat, if I eat insoluble fiber or fat food I get constipated and if I eat soluble fiber I get loose stools. I just wish I settle in middle ground... oh I also noticed that whenever I drink milk I het diarehea, lactose intolerance maybe?

Hi Tom, yes could be a lactose problem you can get tested maybe, it could be worth trying Sourdough bread I eat the white sort, it's a sort of probiotic bread and works great for me with problems like bloating cramps etc, and I have extra Virgin coconut oil as well, it's like you say finding just the right sort of food that benefits you. I always think somewhere out there there's a solution.

Tom.

Seems you are bothering much. Need to trust your doctor. Blood on stool is sometimes over heat of body too. Huge blood with diarhea and vomit only bothers and the way you think.

You said one year, surprised that you are just thinking to start Probiotics.

Well you need to work with simple diet. Most stomach problems are by acid reflux and mucus. And both are due to improper digestion of appropriate foods.

You need to take

1. Steamed rice, rice bread, boiled egg not the core.

2. Yogurt after breakfast and lunch. A2 cow milk.

3. Raw fruits only apple, banana and pomegranate.

4. Cooked: Cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli are good at this time.

5. Every other day 5 nodes of garlic milk to remove gas and yeast. Weekly once ginger juice to increase the strength of your guts.

Foods to avoid :

1. No dairy, coffee and tea.

2. No uncooked veggies including sandwiches.

3. No alcohol, sugar and gaseous drinks.

4. No cereals and nuts.

5. No oil and non veg foods.

Basically you need to take foods which are less workload to stomach and avoid heavy load foods.

Try this for just 2 days you will feel the difference and if it is OK you need to complete 2 weeks to see the results.

Hope you like it.

Thank you for this amazing reply. Yes I will try to follow this diet and see the results and then disscuss the results too with my doctor next week. I had spaghetti with bolognaise sauce for lunch thought. Shall I cut it out from my diet??

Thank you for your reply, interresting and yes I totally agree with you martin!

Yes sauces tend to develop stomach issues try to avoid. Forgot to tell you, anxiety exaggerate small problems into big problems you should avoid that too.

Yes I can tell, just not thinking about it helps alot!! Because when my colonoscopy was clear I felt good for a couple weeks, but now I just stressed that a problem might be with small intestine and like I find hard to get releive unless I do screening for it...

You know I am basically from India and living in USA. My native people believe in one proverb it is lengthy in our language but in english it is simple. OUR FOOD IS MEDICINE, IF YOU TAKE PROPERLY ON TIME WITH RESPECT. Slowly I started believing this after hearing from my grand mother and seeing the results.

Now I am planning to shift my location to India.

I really love the indian culture and was thinking myself to travel there to discover more about what this wonderful country has to offer and also a sort of spiritual experience. I really hope this diet would work for me thank youu so much for your support!
