Is it normal at 47 to have had a period for 6 weeks

Iv been bleeding for 6 weeks and in 47 . 2 weeks ago the drs gave me some tablets to stop or slow down the bleeding whilst on holiday . These didn't work

. Since returning home iv stopped the tablets and the bleeding is heavier and the cramps are awful

Please go doctor and request a scan.. fibroids could be the cause... exactly like my symptoms...

You maybe perimenopausal or have fibroids.  See a gnaecologist.
