This might be a bit TMI.
I get pain during ovulation, which I know is normal, but it extends all the way down my leg. I Googled “pain in leg during ovulation” and literally every result is about endometriosis.
I have other endometriosis symptoms. I’ve never been able to have sex because of extreme pain. I get pain in my lower back quite often especially if I’ve been on my feet for a while. Everything that’s listed on the NHS website other than “difficulty getting pregnant” (I’ve never tried).
The biggest problem is the pain during sex. But, although I have heavy periods and they’ve very very painful, I’ve always written endometriosis off because the couple of people I know who have it are in pain literally all the time. The thing is, these sites that have come up after I searched about the leg pain also mention a mild form with less pain, and now I’m worried.
I’ve been diagnosed with vaginismus, but my GP wants me to get a second opinion (obviously it’s all delayed now). When I was diagnosed they couldn’t actually look properly because it hurt too much, so they felt instead. Then I heard them talking behind the curtain asking each other "do you think it’s vaginismus?” and then coming to the conclusion “I think it’s vaginismus”. They sounded so unsure an it wasn’t very reassuring to hear.
Anyway, is it normal for ovulation pain to extend all the way down your leg? I’m 22 and I’m not on birth control, in case that’s relevant.
