Is it normal having a hard time to urine after 3rd day operation of laparoscopic procedure

Hi, is it normal that im having hard time to urine after 3rd day of my galstone removal. And i also having terrible diarrhea... and after surgery im having this cough till now..... also.. i still having a sour all over under stomach... this is my 5thday of recovery...thank you

Hi I had gall bladder surgery a few weeks ago and had a little trouble urinating because of being so swollen. I was able to go but it was difficult. I think to some extent it's normal. As for the diarrhea and upset stomach I definitely had that and still do at times. I find there are some foods that I just can't do right now and watch what I eat. I would however contact your surgeon to make sure all of this is normal and you have no complications. I know everyones body heals differently so it wouldn't hurt to contact them to make sure it's ok. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon. I know I was the most uncomfortable the 3rd and 4th day.

Are you having trouble peeing because you cannot strain to go? If so that should get better, but if you cant go there could be an issue...diarrhea can last a few weeks or sometimes longer, your cough can be you need to take deep breaths so you dont get pneumonia from laying down, use a small pillow to splint your belly so you can strain to pee and deep breath and cough...if you cough up stuff yellow white green or have shortness of breath, you need to go in....hopefully you should start to feel better about 2weeks after, minor issues can take a few weeks...if you are worried or dont feel quite right, call your dr or go in...Take Care and Hope you are getting better in a few days !!

Thank you... hope this delemma end so soon.... today im feeling ok sinnce i just drink my medicine.... and the pain reliever.....

Thank you..... how long does the swollowing will last... it seems that i am 8 months pregnant.....
