So for the past 5 months I have been experiencing the weirdest sensations and symptoms. It all started with a minor injury and it seems to have snowballed.
My body is overly sensitive. I get weird periods of numbness in my arms, legs and even face. I get tingling and strange bug crawling sensations in my legs especially. I get fatigued really easily and I often get pressure in my head. If I workout, it seems to get worse about 24 hours later. Its really hard to not understand whats going on and how to deal with it
I have had anxiety through my life, but this seems strange. Not a day goes by without these symptoms. Has anyone ever been through this? Is this just anxiety as my doctor has suggested? Does anxiety last daily for 5 months?
- - I have done many tests. Blood, urine, stool, xrays, ct and an emg, all clear - -
If you've had tests done & they were good, then yes it it anxiety. It's that simple.
For your tests to come back normal & reveal no physical problem, that says that it's psychological. Any medical emergency would've been spotted so try to calm down.
There is no real threat & you are healthy. Remember that. Your tests came back normal & you are healthy. Don't feed into your irrational anxiety thoughts. They don't exist. Distract yourself. You'll be okay. xox
The one thing I havent done is a mri of my head. Ive bee debating about it. I have just wanted to believe its anxiety only, but I havent been able to shake it. Normally by now my anxiety will have lessened.. :-(
I have strange symptoms also..i had a forearm surgery that didnt really bug me,well i was in shock ofc cause i cut half of my forearm, but i felt fine..but 2-3 weeks after i was sent home,i felt something that scared me and that worried me alot..2 days after that i felt slightly ill, nauseated and lightheaded, which was weird for me ofc..so a week after that,in the mid of the night,i started panicking cause i had trouble breathing and my heart was beating slow,so a few mins later i had a panic attack.i felt these symptoms for 3-4 days after the attack and they were gone later on,but 1.5 week after the attack,i fell on ice and hit my arm on the ground.it scared me cause i felt pain around my wrist.so i got these symptoms again and got chest pain, armpit pain,neck,shoulders,jaw,head..all minor and random.a few days ago i felt nauseated so much th
That i thought i was gonna die,and that same night i woke up and my pillow was all weat and my left foot was numb.today,i sat on the edge of my bed and was watching a video on my pc and while i was laughing i felt lightheaded and dizzy a few mins later.my vision was blury for like 2h and it got a little better.im very sensitive to anything and my legs feel weak all the time, along with minor numbness in my feet.i take b complex pills twice a day,mby thats why i felt dizzy.i also take anti nausea pills randomly.also i was taking normabel for 12 days and drank like 16 pills, even 3 once in 1 day..i had a blood test and everything was normal.but 1 thing scares me now.my friend felt nauseated 2 weeks ago and was diagnosed with brain bleeding.im scared to have that now..cause there are 1000 problems that have the same symptoms
These sound like classic anxiety problems. Here is something to think about...is your back hurting or tight. I would suspect it is from the muscle tension from anxiety. Try to relax your back with heat or a hot shower\bath. Also take note of your posture are you slumping or leaning forward to protect yourself. Anxiety tends to cause us to go into a defensive mode which is not good for breathing. Try to sit straight up to expand your lungs and ensure oxygen is ample. I've had numb feet and legs, lightheadedness and blurry eyes from anxiety as well. A lot of it was my posture and muscle tension. I hope this helps.
It is frightening how many things anxiety can throw at you. Before this I had anxiety, but it was never very physical. Now it seems like there is always something physical going on. I wish I had some advice for you but I havent found anything thats been helpful yet. Exercise can be for some people, but sometimes it actually makes me worse Have you tried anything like meditation or breathing exercises? Im so sory you are going through this. Its really much worse than anyone can imagine
Thanks, I have been working om posture and doing some guided breathing. I do try to reassure myself its just anxiety. I truly dont believe I have something life theeatening or anything... but the symptoms are there in some form at all times, so I feel like I cant eacape it. Whether I am anxious or not. The head pressure just ruins my days and makes it really tough to sleep..
I know, I've felt the same way and very recently. I've found as soon as you can let yourself relax and try to get some of the tension out of your muscles you'll notice improvement. It might take a couple days, I've found getting a massage helped a lot too. Anxiety can do some really bizarre things to you but if you can look at it logically it makes a lot of sense. For example if you're always hunched over because you're in a constant state of fear and protection you're body isn't getting the proper oxygen and the tension alone will cause weird feelings and symptoms. Lack of oxygen can cause digestive issues and all kinds of bizarre feelings I've had the same issues you are feeling and they went away when I took time to relax with meditation and fixed my posture.
It might not be a fix all but it certainly helps and makes it a bit more bearable.Give it a try and see if it helps. Take a nice bath or lay down on your bed and listen to some relaxing music. Let your muscles relax and even drift off to sleep. Even when you are sleeping keep an eye on how you sleep, keep your chest nice and open so you can breath during the night. I've found my posture sleeping helped me feel great in the morning even with anxiety muscle tension ...hope some of this helps!
