I've been experiencing especially at night some symptoms and I'm wondering if it could be a thyroid problem, I also am experiencing these if I'm in some close places like home or crowded places with a lot of voices and yellings.
1- short breathe needing to take deep breath
2- " lump " in throat not really lump just feels like closed up throat like someone choking me
3- pressure on my chest
4- sometimes heartbeats variation
It feels better if I'm busy doing smthg having fun or outside house. I do not have acid reflux it's been proven by a endoscopy nor do I have heart problems.
Sounds like a panic attack.
Usually thyroid issues (especially at night) involve sweating. Also hair falling out, sleep disturbances, weight change. When I found out mine was off I though my iron was low. A lot of the symptoms are the same.
Sounds more like a panic attack to me , breathing into a brown paper bag usually helps , go get checked by GP
Can the panic attack last for weeks or even months?
Thanks for your answer.
A panic disorder can be a lifetime sadly.
To me, this sounds like anxiety. Especially that you don't experience these symptoms as much when you are busy/distracted our out and about. Have you brought it up to your doctor yet? Also, how long have you been experiencing these symptoms?
