Hello! So I was started on mirtazapine 30mg during March 2020. This was also the time I found out I was pregnant. The meds kept my racing thoughts, severe anxiety (and BDD) also insomnia under control. The plan was just to continue after the birth - and psychiatrist didnt want to make any changes during the post natal period.
However I was not able to cope with a baby overnight with any level of sedation in my system. So 3 weeks after birth I cold Turkey- I was immediately able to cope with baby (without telling psychiatrist)But the withdrawal symptoms have been fairly minimal. So far dizzy , reduced appetite and slightly upset tummy. But overall crazy anxiety etc not returned. I have read a few places the withdrawal can start many weeks after stopping?? Or is it that I have a high tolerance ? Just worried if they are gonna hit me with a bang and need to plan for it.
