I have a hard time accepting if my problem is caused by anxiety. I am 19 yrs old, male, 48 kg, normal bp, 5'6 and 50-70 resting heart rate. So here is my problem. I have a high heart rate with the slightest physical exertion. Just by getting out of bed and going to the toilet my HR spikes to 110-130 and it won't go under 100 unless I lie down. Just doing simple and mundane things would increase my heart rate to 110-130 and I don't know what's the reason. It's making me extremely anxious and I keep putting my hands against my chest so that I could monitor how fast and hard my heart beats. I had EKG, chest Xray, Echo, thyroid panel, electrolyte panel and CBC. Qll came back normal. The doctor agrees that my HR is high but she cant explain why. My chest Xray had shown a suspected inflammation but my pulmonoligst quickly dismissed it because it is so small and assured me that it is not the reason for my high heart rate with minimal exertion. I am planning to undergo a stress test or 24 hr holter but my GP said it is unecessary because my heart is normal and my anxiety is the one causing my elevated HR during slight exertion. I dont know what to do and who to believe
Hi im the same only I can hear my heart beat in ears it's horrible... My heart rate goes to 100 max but withing 2mins it's back to 70 x I'm obsessed by my heart... If it speeds up i panic if it's slow I panic I'm my own worst enemy it's so bad now I don't leave my.home xx
It's 100% anxiety don't worry take some medicine of heart rate .
Mine doesnt go back within 2 mins. It stays 100+ as long as I am up. I was really convinced I had a heart failure but my echo showed me otherwise.
I was taking propranolol 10mg for a week. It helped me lower my heart rate but it made me super anxious because I can hardly feel my pulse. I am using carvedilol 6.25 mg now it doesn't really lower my heart rate dramatically but it reduced the violent way my heart is pumping. Thank you for the assurance
What's your echo result
My heart is structurally healthy and normal but there is a mild tricuspisd regurgitation which the doctor told me is not alarming and does not cause any symptom.
Wht is it is it dangerous?
