Is my friend a narcissist?

Hiya all!

i have this friend who up until recently I noticed may have npd.

its only recently I've thought this as I've taken a step back from the friendship and observed a little.

i could sit here and tell you all everything but I don't have the time or space!

Heres a few things ive noticed.

this friend acts and sits like they are the most important person in the group. No one meets up till said friend is there and no one leaves till this said friend leaves.

This friend may text other friends and if they don't get a reply there's hell to pay! Also if none of us do what this friend wants us to do, for example go get this friend somethings from the grocery store then there is hell to pay again!

Our days can be filled by running around after this friend or running errands! It's like they find a purpose in people that suits them. If no one serves a purpose then you can officially find yourself dumped until you do have a purpose!

if this friend can't be bothered to cook they will go and find someone to cook their tea!

honestly it's frustrating!

Those are are just a few things, obviously there is more but I can't write it all down!

I could be wrong but nothing about this person is normal!

Sounds as though your friend has a grossly elevated sense of her own importance, boardering on meglomania. Has she got a higher level of education than you and your friends?

What does she do for a living; is it a substantially higher pay level than you and your friends?

If she is working, is she a deparment head or PA to a Director and sees you and your friends as  "lower menials".   Have you brought this behaviour to her attention?

If you have, and she is still be having like this, and you are getting tired of her behaviour, then perhaps it is time to say good-bye.   I suspect that if you do it others will follow; if that happens the woman will be friendless.   That is not your problem.

I am really impressed that she is managing to get so much done for her and that she still has friends. I would have thought she would be sad and lonely by now if she acts like that. She must be very charismatic.

Hi both!

This friend has no higher level of education nor do they have a job! Quite laughable really!

Ive not said anything to said friend as they wouldn't believe it anyway lol.

I am even more impressed in that case, perhaps she should become an MP!

Histrionic personality disorder.

Would not want this person as a friend. I use the term friend lightly. This person will always find followers and prays on kind hearted, but low self esteemed people. I say ruuuunnnnnnn

Sounds like a psychopath. I couldn't be arsed with all that crap. Get rid and get on with your own life.
