Just right now, I was feeling this sudden urge to go to the bathroom. It was a terrible ache in my lower body and when I went to go use it, I did so as normally. But at the same time, I got this really bad nausea. I ended up throwing up a few moments after I had gone to the restroom.
Right now I’m feeling alright, though my throat hurts a little bit after throwing up. Is this normal? I’ve never had this happen to me before. I don’t think I’ve eaten anything bad. Like I said, this sudden abdominal ache and nausea happened almost instantaneously. I’m on my period, if that helps with anything, and I was kind of stressed out beforehand? Perhaps the stress had a factor to play in all this?
I don’t know. If anyone can give some insight on my situation, that would be great. Thank you!
Maybe just a simple stomach flu? I wouldn't worry about it unless symptoms persist for a few days! I had this happen to me when I caught it. Just treat it as a normal stomach flu and keep updated if you'd like.
Your period can cause nausea, intense stomach pain and vomiting. You can also get loose stools or diarrhoea with ir.
Periods can cause intense nausea and vomiting with loose stools or diarrhoea. I used to be very sick all day with periods and would not be able to eat or drink for a whole day. I used to get this twice a year. The intensity of the vomiting can hurt your throat and cause discomfort from the acid that comes up and you can also get pulled stomach muscles from the vomiting.
You may also have had a twenty four hour bug which can start with intense stomach pain, nausea and vomiting. Food poisoining could still be a possibility due to the sudden onset of symptoms. Try small sips of milk to settle your stomach if you are now able to tolerate eating and drinking. Stress can alao cause you to run to the loo, have diarrhoea, stomach pain, nausea or vomiting.
Wait a week and if you are no better see your doctor.
