Is there any anti-anxiety medication that works for G.A.D.?

I have severe GAD and PTSD and have done for over 20 years. I have had multiple different types of psychological treatment (talking therapies, CBT plus EMDR )but none has worked and I have also been through the gamut of anti-depressants which also treat anxiety. Again, no success. finally, I hoped I'd found some salvation when my latest psychiatrist prescribed a cocktail of Pregabalin plus Duloxetine-BUT I'm still having severe anxiety almost daily, plus nasty side effects like memory loss, swollen extremities weight gain etc.-not to mention possible early onset of Alzheimers, which I'd even accepted if only my anxiety would be less severe!- from Pregabalin. Is there ANY medication that works on severe anxiety??? the only one I've actually felt has helped is Daiazepam, but of course, doctors won't prescribe it for more than one week at a time, and only at 2mg doeses, to prevent addiction. Surely there must be something I could ask my Psychiatrist for?

I am also a long term chronic anxiety sufferer. Over the years I’ve tried all SSRI’s, Trazodone, Propranolol, baclofen, and Diazepam, am currently under psychologist who’s put me on Aripiprazole.
2 CBT 2x counselling and 1 clinical psychology course and still have it.
Diaz was the only thing that worked for me. . Or a good Marlborough Sauvignon
