i am 25 weeks pregnant and on an antibiotic for a UTI. is this a yeast infection? not itchy just sore

hi there, it looks like a yeast infection. did you develop these symptoms couple days after taking the antibiotics ? are you having sex while pregnant? i know from experience you can get YI more frequent while pregnant and having sex. Specially if he is ejaculating in you.

Taking antibiotics can mess up your pH-Balance down there. Normally, your OBGYN is supposed to prescribe vaginal capsules with the antibiotics to avoid YI.

yes this ended up being a yeast infection. Antiobiotic is done and i did a Monostat1 on Sundag night. I had some brutal white yeast and patches Monday, started flaking tuesday and much better today. thanks.

next question - these 2 spots started as friction sores I believe, were very minor and probably would have healed in a day but then with everything else going on have gotten worse. recs on how to get them to heal?

you could have a yeast infection going in but thise two sores look concerning and possible herpes have them swabbed asap whilst there open to rule it out, as if you have an outbreak during birth it can be absolutely brutal for babies an will need anti virals few weeks before birth , it may not be but best to rule it out.
