Is this an ingrown hair or a herpes outbreak?

Hi there!

I was diagnosed with HSV-2 about 2 1/2 years ago, and I’m usually pretty good at telling whether or not I’m having an outbreak. But I just can’t seem to figure out this bump… Can someone help? I’m not having any of the other regular symptoms (tingling, fatigue, itching/burning)…I’ve got a date tonight but don’t want to put him at risk if this is indeed an outbreak.

I’ve posted some photos of it at different stages - it popped up 3 days ago. The photos are in order of how it’s healing.

this is most likely herpes.
