Hi, I’m pretty sure I already know the unfortunate answer but my denial wants other’s thoughts.
I began feeling pain when the sphincter closed or opened four days ago. On day 3 these little bumps appeared. I briefly had a fever on night 2. Defecating is very painful and included blood a couple times. Ive also had a tight bladder for a couple weeks now, making me think its an unfortunate combo of hemorhoids and gonorrhea.
I saw a doctor yesterday and did urine, blood, and swab tests.
I’ve never had an STI before so Im very worried.

unfortunately yes it looks like herpes. herpes are very common and often missed by test. the fever indicates this is probably your first or “primary” infection. if so, the blood test will likily be negative until your body builds antibodies. that can take up to 16 weeks.
the first outbreak is the worst, again because you dont have antibodies helping you. take some antiviral medication. that will knock it right out. some people only have a couple flare ups a year. others dont have any, even without medication. try not to stress, it is the most common STD out there
