Is this Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

My husband seems to have the symptoms of CARPAL TUNNEL. He says if he lies in bed on his RIGHT side/shoulder he gets numbness and pins and needles in his LEFT hand. If he then rolls over and lies on his RIGHT side/shoulder he gets pins and needles plus numbness to his LEFT hand but not quite so bad. Does anyone else have this too? Is it Carpal Tunnel Syndrome do you think? Any thoughts? Thank you - LadyPink

Get him to complete the questionnaire at carpal tunnel dot net and it will give you a pretty good guess as to whether it is CTS or not. Dr J Bland

Hey LadyPink,

        I would think that  it sounds like a pinched nerve in his neck rather than carpal tunnel but he should probably visit a neurologist to be sure. There they can run tests that can measure continuity of nerves and let you know absolute.                                                 Sincerely Damian
