Does this look like smegma or yeast?
White discharge from vagina but there’s also white stuff all over my vulva. It does not leave a chunky discharge in my underwear so im confused. No unpleasent odor, but it does smell a bit stronger when there is more discharge.
Ive been experiencing this on and off for about two years. Chronic itching that comes and goes. Im probably irritated down there at least 5 days of every month.
Ive been to the doctor 8 times since the itching started, one time I had BV, 2 times I had a yeast infection, all other times I was clear but at the time of the appointment I felt okay.
When i’m itchy I have more of this discharge and white stuff all over my vulva, but I still do have it to some degree when im not itchy… I have to wash it off in the shower daily. I dont remember if I had this discharge before the infections started or not. At this point i dont know whats normal…
mine looks similar and also has a slight vinegar/sour smell at times , i havent been to the doc to be able to tell u if it could be bv but i do have a history of bv but its been awhile to remember what it was like . im thinking it is tho
The white discharge you’re referring to is the buildup of dead skin cells, oil, and other fluids throughout the day called smegma. Irregular washing or not washing your genitalia well can cause it to build up. It is normal to have some smegma but when left alone it may produce an unpleasant odor and cause itchiness. As long as you continue washing it off daily and preventing it from building up, you shouldn’t have any problems.

Its so strange because i clean it completely off every morning in the shower. Then about 50% of the time I take a second brief shower in the evening depending on the day and clean it then too. It usually always back within 10 hours or so…
It confusing because it definitely didnt build up like this when I was a teenager.
Im now in my mid 20’s. I wonder if hormone changes for different ages have something to do with becoming more prone to it? Or birthcontrol?
I know I also have more “folds” down there than other women. Perhaps that is part of it too..

hi i have the same kind of discharge, not the chunky one but the one on the vagina. my discharge looks creamy white and a bit thick, no smell. but it shows yellowish on pantyliners and tissue. did you find out what is it?
