Hiya,
Can anyone help me?..Past few days ive had a dull ache in my right rib area with a slight burning feeling.
I am incredibly anxious and have been worried that it might be pancreatic cancer and now i think it might be gallbladder.
Please could anyone let me know what i might have as its keeping me awake at night with worry.
No one can say for sure on this site what it is, but gallbladder sounds much, much more probable. I’m pretty confident you would know if you had pancreatic cancer. I tend to always think the worst as well. I’m working very hard to not let that be a part of my life anymore. God bless.
I have gallstones and I get a constant dull ache on my rt side going through to my back especially when lying on my rt side,go and see your GP and you will be sent for a scan if needed.
Thanks for replying ,
Wish i didn 't think the worse but i am obese and its never off the telly about obesity and cancer, but the worse i worry the more i eat. God knows its a vicious circle.
Sounds like gallstones, and depending on what you eat it makes it worse, i’m not skinny either i’m a size 18, but here are some tips that have helped me;
Drink a cup of apple juice with 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice on a empty stomach every morning. (keeps me regular)
Drink loads of water! I try and aim for 3 600ml bottles of water everyday.
No fried food/ sents my gallbladder into a spin!
wholegrain breads/ loads of vegies! stirfrys Fish
and I try to walk at least five days a week for half a hour or more, but I do have to very active Jack Russells
Tiny steps lead to bigger steps!I only started walking about 19 months ago and was a size 22, and only reason I changed my diet was because of the gallstones but have lost 5kg because of it!
If you have the money invest in a fitbit it really does keep you motivated! and I have challenges with friends to beat them!
Goodluck!
Hello
It can be caused by gallbladder disfunction, or stones, inflamed gallbladder, etc.
If you have any serious issues it would come with vomit, feeling sick, really high temperature.
I would contact my GP or emergency department, so they can do a blood test and scan, so you wont get worried. I have this pain since chilhood, and can be worrying and really annoying pain:( I hope you feel better soon and let us know what the doctors said. x
Contacted my doctors surgery yesterday.
At my doctors you can have a phone consultation where some one phones back if you leave details of what is bothering you, well they did and i told them what i told the forum and they said i would be in a lot of pain and actually laughed when i asked if it could be gallbladder or gallstones and then told me to take two paracetamol four times a day if it hurt.
See nothing ever changes they see anxiety written on my file and dont give a ■■■■.
Thank you for caring x
