Is this genital herpes (on penis)?

Hi guys, about 4 days ago I saw 2 - 4 wounds appear on my penis while I was showering (it was after a rough protected b*****b).

Later that night pus started to form (the colour was yellowish).

I went to the doctor 2 days after and he told me it looks like genital herpes (he also took a swab and I will get the results in a few days time).

I would like to know what you guys think as well?

Here’s a couple symptoms that I am having:

  1. Every night and morning i have to clean the wounds because pus keeps forming. I never noticed the pus filled blisters, I think it may be because of the rough b*****b?

  2. I’ve always had fungal infections, but this is the only time ever where I’ve noticed pus on my penis.

  3. The wounds do look like they are spreading over the past few days (well at least they look like they are becoming more red and growing bigger).

  4. The wounds do hurt when I touch them or when I am in the shower and has water on it. But it’s less painful day by day.

  5. My skin is becoming more flakey.

6 No pain when I p**s, but if urine gets on the wound it does hurt.

The picture is taken after 4 days, you could say that the wounds are more clearer than they were 4 days ago when I noticed it, and less pus forms around it.

Please do let me know if you guys think this is gential herpes? and I appreciate any feedback. I will post the swab test results when I receive it also. But I really would like to know what you guys think please.

i am still waiting on my results, i just have two red bumps.. im terrified

The results have come back as negative for both HSV-1 and HSV-2. However there was a problem, the first swab test that the doctor took (1 day after the breakout) was unfortunately misplaced and I was informed to come back in the clinic to get re-swabbed (this was 5 - 6 days after the breakout). I don’t know if the test results are accurate as some of my wounds were still fresh and others were recovering. The doctor took a fungal test also and it came back as negative. Also negative for chlamydia and gonorrhoea.

At this stage I do not know if I have genital herpes, and it sucks because I have to wait for 5 - 6 months so I can get a blood test but even then it won’t really tell me what HSV type I have.
