I noticed this yesterday, and I cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide yesterday and today. It’s not painful at all (I wouldn’t have noticed it if I didn’t see it), and I’ve never noticed anything like this before. It is in a location that I theoretically could’ve bit, but I don’t remember biting my lip. I’m pretty anxious about this, so an opinion would be very helpful, thank you.
Hi, Jenna! Well, in my experience, that lesion looks nothing like herpes labialis.
The herpes lesion starts as a small blister (or several) filled with fluid, which is very itchy and burning.
When they burst, these blisters give rise to a kind of “little craters” that are very painful.
This looks like a common aphthous ulcer.
