So about 5 days ago i shaved my entire genital area . i noticed that it was more rough than usual. About a day later i noticed these large white bumps on my pelvic bone that had little black dots and were itchy. It escalated to being painful to the touch and dumb me shaved again, opening the blisters. it also hurts when it rubs on my clothes. its probably good to mention that my boyfriend of 2 years gets cold sores and one popped up right before this but we did not engage in oral sex for a solid 2 days before his sore popped up . i am currently putting antibacterial cream on the sores now but i am freaking out if its possibly herpes. he is the only person i have ever been with and both of our genitals are squeaky clean other than this episode. please help a girl out this is the only thing on my mind all day i am FREAKING out.
this is what they look like as of today. no blood just red. (the bump at the very top is a casual ingrown hair for me)
thanks to you all. i have been dreading this answer and i am seriously racking my brain on how it could have been transmitted since he has been no where near the area with an active sore i would never allow it. anyways trying to keep it positive before i spiral. trying to book a appt asap but most likely will be a few days or so

You mentioned that he had the COLD SORES, but did not mention if he had the “GENITAL” one.
Meanwhile, stop shaving it for a week or so and let it heal.
And, when it comes to shaving there, your razor must be new or damn near new because after about 2 weeks, those blades will shred you up, unlike your armpits and legs.
Also, try not to use the same razor for both, your pits & legs AND down there.
Yes thank you for the reply, booked an appointment but not till the end of next week so the waiting game begins. He does not have the genital strain HSV-2 so the cold sores could be the only way. the pain has subsided, just scabs now. only reason i think it may be really botched ingrown hairs or an infection is cuz there is hair growing out of the open sores and it appeared right after i shaved but a doctors visit is the only way to truly tell.
they have scabbed over but unlike most herpes scabs i have been researching they are dark red like any other scab on the body not yellow or translucent. this is just giving me more cause for concern on what the heck it could be. no extra symptoms just pain from friction in my clothes.
ugh girl ive been having the same thing BUT i had one of my butt cheek went to the hospital the doctor said it was an infected ingrown hair but more have came up on my thigh and leg currently on the phone with the hospital to get my test resaults im freaking out lol
