I will be booking a dr appointment tomorrow but was wondering if anyone could hopefully put my mind at rest.

I've had a problem this past week. I was quite itchy on my vagina during my period, and I thought this was because of the pads. They usually do this every time. The itching went straight away after putting on vagisil.

However, I have just shaved and noticed small red bumps (not where the itchiness was). They are in groin area, not anywhere near the lips. They do not hurt at all.

I've looked at pictures and I believe it's more a razor burn. The last time I shaved before I used a very cheap razor. I've also had ingrown hairs in some bumps, but not others.

itchiness is most likely thrush - you dont always have discharge, can sometimes just be the external itch

red bumps are more likely to be a rash from the pads, razor burn, could even just be pimples

herpes bumps, at least in my experience, start out little, clear liquid filled spots which i couldnt pop, then turn red, and the pus turns yellow. 

these were found all over the vagina, from lips, to hood to opening...

Does not sound like herpes.
