Is this herpes?

I had 2 small bumps appear at the base of the shaft of my penis a little less than a week ago. I haven't had any itching, painful urination, or discomfort. If I couldn't see them, I wouldn't even know they were there. They seem to have gotten smaller, but immediately paranoia took over and I haven't been able to stop panicking. I haven't had intercourse in a while, but I have received oral sex by a few different people over the last few months. Also, I feel like they may also be due to ingrown hair as I had my public area completely waxed about a month and a half ago.

I was tested for Herpes on Friday, and should have my results tomorrow.

Thanks!

Was the oral you received unprotected? If so, you'd expect herpes lesions to form on the head, not the base.

Yes, unprotected oral. Always have worn condoms during sex.

Basically, a first outbreak typically occurs at the site of entry, and since the head is more susceptible than the base, you'd expect unprotected oral to cause an outbreak of herpes on the head if given the choice. If you can see hairs in the bumps, it's very likely just ingrown hairs. Avoid sexual contact too soon after waxing and shaving, by the way, as the fresh nicks and open pores can act as viral entry points.
