I had unprotected sex with a female about a month ago and about a week afterwards I started feeling a tingling sensation in my penis. Few days later burning while urinating came and these were the only symptoms for a few weeks. Now is about a month and a half since the incident and I have a swollen lymph node on the right side of my upper leg in the crease between my pelvis and my thigh. I have no blisters no bumps just swollen lymph nodes and burning when peeing as of now even though the burning is no where near severe more so uncomfort.

Hi Jimmy. That seems like an std. But the only sure way to know exactly what it is is to get tested. Urethral burning and then swollen lymph node? I lean toward the possibility. Stds happen; not the end of the world, but instead a learning experience. Get tested. Good luck.

Jimmy, please don't feel that way. Do you know how many times I thought one bad thing or the other was wrong with me but it eventually turned out that I was wrong each time? Many! Sometimes I would feel 100% sure that I had HIV, but I didn't have it.
Inguinal lymph node swelling is nothing to be alarmed about. With that said, my brother, the sure best way to know is getting tested, otherwise you might feel 100% confident that your fear is true when you could be 100% wrong.
Another thing you must bear in mind is that the mind could either make or break us. What you feed into it is what you'd usually get. When you have the psychological feeling that your neck, for example, is broken and that it would very soon become bent, before long symptoms and eventually signs of a broken neck would hit you. The mind is that dangerously powerful! It might in fact be what's happening to you right now. There's probably nothing wrong with you and you're simply conjuring these signs and symptoms into your circumstance.

I appreciate that and there’s is nothing that is visible that’s why I questioned if it was herpes. I tested negative for gonorrhea and chlamydia about a week after symptoms. I’ve been having these symptoms but no sores or anything so do you know how likely it could still be herpes? There’s no redness in urethra just pain in it.
