One lesion. I have HSV1, just don’t know if it’s both oral and genital.
I have been feeling burning ALL over my gential area. no tingling. Lesion doesn’t hurt. Any help would be appreciated!
when did this start. the only way to find out is to have it swabbed.
Burning sensation on and off for weeks. Just noticing this lesion now. I also had tiny oral sores come and go for past month on my face/lips. It’s been a nightmare. Tingling and itch on face, but not genitals. Only burn on genitals, but NOT where this lesion is located. Lesion doesn’t hurt. Finally go in to see OBGYN tomorrow. But looking for peace of mind, I’m a mess! Can’t imagine the burning could be anything but herpes, so I’m devastated.

Probably not herpes. If it is, it’s one of the mildest outbreaks I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen. Keep us updated if it gets worse.

Lukav, my doc said she’s 100% sure it’s a broken blood vessel.
That doesn’t explain all the burning. So I’m still nervous. But happy she didn’t see any herpes.
That’s great news. I’m sure you’re doctor is correct. I would just try to put it out of your mind and just check up on it every day or so to make sure it’s not getting any worse. Broken blood vessels can take a while to heal, so don’t be alarmed if it takes a couple weeks or more. But it’s certainly nothing major and should totally heal on its own with no problems.
If the burning continues, maybe check if you have a bladder or infection, maybe yeast infection. I’m sure you know this, but yeah. Best of luck.
Lukav, I can’t thank you enough for your support. My doc ran rests for other infections (just as you suggested) so we’ll see what happens. I’m glad that lesion is not herpes, but I find it SO hard to believe nothing is going on. I’m getting tingling in my face, burning in my face, super tiny lesions on my lip (that don’t ooze or crust), and then burning on my pelvic bone and in the groin. Seems so hard to believe that they’re not connected when its all happening at the same time. It’s finally feeling better, but its been a MONTH of these symptoms daily. I’m just so confused…never had an outbreak before. But I do for sure have HSV1. Just hoping it’s only orally…
