Is this Herpes????

i had these pimple like spots for a while now could say a month or more there is no burning or itchiness or any pain but im worried it could be herpes ??and due to the covid 19 i cant go to my gp to test ,please helpp

Dear Anya,

These ‘pimples’ are likely to be molluscum contagiosum, a common viral STD.

You could go to your local drugstore/chemist and ask for ‘molluscum treatment’ if your GP can’t or won’t see non-urgent cases. Once lockdwon restrictions ease, go to your local sexual health/STD clinic for a full screen.

You can also leave molluscum untreated, as they clear spontaneously after a while (12-18 months). Avoid shaving the area, as you are at risk of spreading the infection. The clue to this in your photo is all three lesions appear in line.

i dont think so usually if i get ingrown they go within a short time but these been there for a while
