i thought i had an initial outbreak in september on head of my penis, but they did a swab and it came back negative. ive had a rash now on the lower part of my buttocks for a few days. sharp pain, but doesnt itch. is there anything else it could be?

I would see a doctor for that asap before it goes away. It does appear to be a herpes outbreak to me, but a doctor will be able to swab for this, as well as do any other testing for other skin conditions as well.
