yes it does look like herpes, my first symptom was abnormal discharge. yeast like discharge at first that quickly changed to very watery
update* the guy that i had sex with said that he went to the doctor about 3 weeks ago and was clear. so now i'm confused!!!
they typically dont screen for herpes unless specifically asked
you could have got it from anyone, herpes is a virus so stays in the body. you could have gotten it from anyone

Your partner saying he had a clear test doesnt mean anything. They do not provide regular HSV testing unless it was asked for or if someone is having active symptoms. Even at that blood tests for HSV can be really inaccurate. You also could have been living with the virus for years if he is not your only partner. The virus does not always show up on initial transmisson. However, if you are not having any other symptoms along side these sore i would think it is more bacterial, from shaving or a old razor. Best thing to do is to get them swabbed while they are still present as this is most accurate :)
im going to get tested, but its crazy you say that because they didnt show up until after i shaved. i also used a shaving cream ive never used before. no swollen lymph nodes, before they showed up i was already having a hard time using the bathroom but after taking UTI pills it helped. ive just had a small cough lately but everything else has been fine.
if it is getting better with out the use of antivirals i wouldnt say its herpes. Good thing you are going to get tested :) if it turns out to be herpes its not the end of the world ❤ best of luck!
