I’ve never had anal sex but I recently have had unprotected vaginal sex. I have no bumps near my vaginal area but I noticed this right near my anus & have read that outbreaks choose their nerve pathway so it doesn’t always necessarily happen in the infected area.. I’m unsure if it is herpes or just irritation.

Sadly no, I don’t & it is no longer present. I haven’t been able to get tested yet but I’m very scared I have it. I did have flu-like symptoms i.e. fever, sore throat, body aches, fatigue as well. I tested negative for strep which is originally what I thought it was because I’ve been prone to strep since childhood. The flu-like symptoms lasted for about a week & also discomfort while urinating. My vagina was sore inside for a few days which I assumed to be irritation from the sex, as I’ve had no bumps or sores or cuts or anything else down there besides what was near my anus.
