This happened after I scratched my vulva. It’s itchy and swollen and it feels like a cut.
I had my first outbreak 1 year prior- the clinic I went to told me I got an infected cut from the dryness and friction during intercourse.
As a result, my vulva is extremely sensitive and I get frequent cuts and itch every now and then.
My STD tests came back negative but have not checked for herpes as the specialist told me I can only get tested if there’s any existing bumps.
I can’t get the swab test now as I’m on my period. Fml

why cant you get the swab test if you are on your period? just curious because my partner got a swab today and started her period tonight (after)

hes lying, i was on my period when j got swabbed. the swab the sore with a q tip i would go to a different clinic

for hygiene purposes? with all the blood and mess, i’m not too sure

if youre beyond 3 months since exposure it will show in blood work

you can still get a swab on your period. Could just be a cut but could also be herpes. Your best bet is to go and get it tested
