I had unprotected sex with my partner who I’ve been dating for almost a year, and I noticed that everytime we have sex, my vulva kind of hurts. Well, I was taking a shower yesterday and I noticed these bumps, and they don’t itch unless I touch them, but my genital area is painful. Is it herpes?
that is herpes, those are ulcers, you are currently having an outbreak so abstain from sex with your partner until you both get tested and you heal.
you will never know if its herpes without testing. im no professional, i cant tell what that is but it does look concerning. get those swabbed by your doctor asap within 48 hours. a culture with a positive result is very accurate. you may want to consider a HSV1/2 blood test 6 weeks after your last sexual encounter, and a follow up test by the 12 week mark.
