doesn't look like hpv to me, I also get inflamed spots on my tongue when I eat salty for example (goes away in a day or so), underneath the tongue looks normal, also...if you ever look at the back of your throat and notice small bumps..those are normal and indicative of a soar throat (even minor)..also swollen tonsils can look worrying...but it's normal(telling you this not to freak out when you discover your tonsils), the red spot might just be a small bite sore, warts don't look like that.
also don't freak out when you discover some lumps of flesh on the back of your tongue towards your throat, those are also normal (the are in a V shape).

did you find out what it was
from having had strep throat many times as an adult but only once as a child, it looks like strep throat. if youre running fever, have sore/tender/enlarged glands in neck, throat feels like it has many tiny cuts/sore/scratchy/burning/stinging/ when swallowing....in addition to the lil red spots inside mouth....chances are its just a strep throat infection caused by the staphylococcus bacteria and would need antibiotic treatment. it looks similar to what i think they refer to as a "strawberry" tongue I think...not sure bc of the appearance. simple and quick throat and tonsil swab test at most urgent cares will give results within 15 mins or so. hope it helps!
