I am a female in my 20s. I have never had an STI before & am 5 months pregnant. I went to the STI clinic and the nurse said it didnt look like herpes to her, but she tried to get a swab of it (as it was difficult since there was no blisters, pus, etc). The results came back, and i was shocked to hear the doctor on the phone say that the swab said I was HSV1 positive. I've taken another swab just to be sure as i dont want to give my baby herpes, and I'm so worried about the stereotyping & stigmas this condition has around it. It's damaged my mental health so much.
does this look like herpes to you? please help!

I don’t know hun, but to me, that does not look like herpes..It doesn’t look like there would even be anything to swab since as you said there are no blisters or sores. Have you gotten the results from your second swab yet?
hi! no i havent got my results back yet! I dont know how long a typical hsv1 or molluscum outbreak lasts, but these have been there over 3 weeks now!
Well, it’s possible for herpes outbreaks to last 2-4 weeks especially with initial outbreaks, but molluscum lasts much longer without treatment. Also, if it is molluscum contagiosum you can spread it to other areas or to others, so you have to be careful about touching it.
Are you having any itching or pain?? If it were herpes you likely would have very bad itching and/or pain. Molluscum can also cause itchiness though. But I am no expert, this is just what I have found from my own research.
