is this normal for spondylosis?

i have suffered with cs for 6 years and i take diclofenic when i have a flare up but these last few months it seems that my neck is getting jammed and i have to hold the back of my head/neck and move it slowly and then it cracks and i can move it a bit better.is it worth going to the doctor or is he just going to say its the condition that i have?as he has told me there is no cure (another words get on with it and keep taking the tablets)
