So, I’ve posted here quite a bit about my long story of severe anxiety/ panic/ depression etc. And here is an up to date: I’ve been on Citalopram for about 11 weeks now, first time on this mediciation. I feel like it has helped my panic attacks quite a bit so far, but not the overall anxiety too much, and that depression and dark cloud always hanging over my head. I also as of recently have been having spells of forgetting things that I was just talking about or doing. Doesn’t last too long but it sure is scary. Never really had that before. In the past I took Zoloft and noticed a real difference in a few months and did well. The doctor decided to try me on Celexa this time around though, not sure why. I know 11 weeks doesn’t seem too long but if this is not the right med for me, I don’t want to waste another month or two then have to change and do this all over again. Any reassurance would be much appreciated, or any personal feedback.
Thanks!
Medication can take up to 3 months to make a difference, so you should be feeling better, however my husband has been on it since july 2018 and is still being sick every day with anxiety and feels terrible. His dr just keeps adjusting the dose. Its really frustrating. Ive been on them in the past and definitely didn’t take as long to make a huge difference. Suppose they work different for everyone!
Yeah, see that is what Im afraid of. Being on it that long and it not being the right med. ![]()
